NEW DISTRICT EXECUTIVE

I would like to introduce myself to you. I am Jim Bright and I will be the new Amangi Trail District Executive in San Angelo and the surrounding counties. I have lived in San Angelo for most of my life. I am married to Ginger and have two grown sons, Jason and Chris.

I was a sales representative for a business forms company and sold business forms and computer supplies for many years. The last 12 years, I have been a Special Education Teacher at San Angelo Lakeview and Central High School.

My scouting experience includes an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 22. Then I restarted Troop 374 at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church. As a Scoutmaster I worked hard to build a strong troop. We celebrated many successes and I am proud to say both of my sons earned their Eagle Rank with Troop 374. I have also served as a Chartered Organization Representative, Unit Commissioner and on the Training Team that trains new scout leaders.

I am very excited to become your Amangi Trail District Executive and plan to meet you in person so we can become better partners in building strong quality units for the youth in our community.
